ESF Kindergartens offer a caring, supportive and enriching environment to foster and grow each young child’s natural curiosity and love of learning.
All ESF Kindergartens offer a two-year programme. Students begin their ESF education in K1 and continue the following year in K2. Students joining K1 from August 2020 will be guaranteed a Year 1 place at an ESF primary school, providing they are able to access a mainstream, English-medium curriculum.

If your child is going to withdraw from the kindergarten, please complete the official Student Withdrawal Notice and submit the notice to the school admission office at least one calendar months in advance. In any event, if your child will be leaving school at the end of the school year, withdrawal notice must be received by 14 June. Otherwise, your debenture on account will not be redeemed. If a student is not returning to school in the following year and his/her parent has not informed the Kindergarten of the withdrawal on or before 14 June, the parent is liable to the tuition fees for September even if the student does not return to school.
The Student Withdrawal Notice can be downloaded HERE or available at the school office.
To withdraw, please submit a completed Withdrawal Notice Form to the kindergarten at least two months prior to your child’s last day of school. Parents are required to confirm with individual kindergartens the receipt of the Withdrawal Notice Form. Click HERE to download the Withdrawal Notice Form
Redemption conditions and requirements of refundable debenture are set out in ESF website http://www.esf.edu.hk/school-fees/
We have nine primary schools, five secondary schools and three all-through schools. One of the all-through schools caters for students with special educational needs (SEN).
Students start Year 1 in an ESF primary school in the year they turn 5, and will start Year 7 in an ESF secondary school in the year they turn 11.
ESF is an all-through system. All primary students are guaranteed a place as they transition to secondary.
Starting from 2022/23, ESF kindergarten children joining K1 from August 2020, who can benefit from a mainstream, English medium curriculum, will be guaranteed a Year 1 place at an ESF school.
